Your centre committee encourages every athlete to attend as many carnivals as possible. The experience and competition gained from these carnivals will help improve your performances. Should you decide to attend a carnival, you must wear the correct centre uniform and compete in your own age group. When attending carnivals, it is encouraged, where possible, that all athletes sit together as a team and support your fellow athletes in their events. Nordic Sport Regional Championships (U7 – U17)
Regional Championships primarily provide friendly Regional Competition for all athletes in the U7 – U17 age groups. These competitions are also the means for qualifying for the McDonald’s State Championships. This competition is an individual event.
Eligibility and Progression
All LAQ Registered U7 – U17 athletes are eligible to compete. U9 – U17 athletes competing in the Regional Championships who place 1st – 4th may progress to the McDonald’s State Championships held in March.
Nominations
Nominations can only be submitted through your LAQ Centre. Each athlete may compete in events of their choice up to five events. For available events, use this link. Parents may download and complete this form to return to your affiliated Centre. Check with our Committee for the closing date.

McDonald’s State Championships (U9 – U17)
These championships are only open to athletes between U9 and U17 years, who have qualified through regional championships.
